WHY DOES GOMIS KNOW?
In 2009, Gomis, who had a sudden fainting during a training session in the camp of the French National Team, was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope. Bafetimbi Gomis may occasionally lose consciousness when under extreme heat, humidity and intense stress. Anxiety, fear, pain, intense emotional stress and hunger can trigger this disease.
Gomis, who fainted three times while wearing the Lyon uniform in France, also had a problem in the first minutes of the match with Tottenham while wearing Swansea City in the Premier League and was immediately hospitalized.
WHAT IS VAZOVAGAL SYNCOPE?
Fainting, also known as syncope, is the name given to sudden and brief loss of consciousness caused by decreased blood flow to the brain. Many different things can affect this fainting. These are irregular heartbeat, seizures, panic attacks or anxiety attacks, low blood sugar, anemia, and problems in the nervous system’s regulation of blood pressure. Some types of fainting are thought to be inherited, in other words genetic. Fainting can be a sign of a specific health problem, but sometimes it happens in healthy individuals. Most of the people who fainted after very short fainting usually recover in a short time.
